My Sweetie

We find delight in the beauty and happiness of children that makes the heart too big for the body.

Her name is Liliana. We have been in the process of adopting her for going on 2 years now but still can't say for sure when she will be home. I told you these things, Nora. The memory is the 2nd thing to go.

The last thing you told me is that you were looking to adopt in South America... you never said you found your daughter. Also, don't you think we are interested in the adoption process? Please open up and share with us... we are like family, are we not?

Why is it taking so long? That must be torture for you and your wife! Is this normal for the process to take so long? Or are there just very strict laws for adopting out of the country? I hope you get her asap! She is so precious. I love her name too.

Nora, Nora, Nora ... put down that crackpipe! They originally told us when we started the process that it should take 5-9 months. Liliana was "assigned" to us when she was only 4 days old. Since then, everything that could go wrong has, including our agency going broke and the owner taking off with the money. We continue to trudge on, but yes it has been heartbreaking to wait and watch her grow up without us. We still don't know when or how this will end.

I hope you get her soon.
